Introduction

Educational, occupational occupancy usually involves both students, teachers, and
support staff. The students mostly spend their time in classrooms, teachers in the staffroom, and
other departmental offices, while support staffs spend most of their time either in the servant's
quarter or their workstations. Students are also provided with dormitories or hostels for those
who board in the educational institution (Wang et al., 2015). All these occupancies are prone to
fire outbreaks and, therefore, the need to have an emergency response protocol. In case of fire
outbreaks, there are various response mechanisms used to prevent adverse damages in the
school. Some of the guidelines are provided in the NFPA 101 that details how fire accidents are
to be responded to. Also, institutions have a fire response policy that guides occupants on ways
in which they are expected to respond to incidences of fire outbreaks.
The educational occupation is made of teaching and training staff in levels of education
