University of Illinois at Chicago Southern and Western Blot Samples Questions
Use this information to match the list of probes to the 3 samples below:You have isolated several DNA sequences from a variety of mouse tissues. You have labeled each one of them with a radioisotope and will use them as probes on blots of several DNA and RNA samples. Below are a list of all the probes you generated (probes A through E) and a list of all the DNA and RNA samples that you will analyze (Samples 1 through 3)Beside each sample, write the letters corresponding to all the probes that will bind to a complementary sequence in that sample. These responses are graded all or nothing!List of probesProbe A: promoter sequence of a gene that is only expressed in the nervous systemProbe B: promoter sequence of one of the genes encoding a ubiquitously expressed histone proteinProbe C: coding sequence of a gene that is only expressed in the nervous systemProbe D: coding sequence of one of the genes encoding a ubiquitously expressed histone proteinProbe E: intron of a gene that is only expressed in the nervous systemList of samplesSample 1: Southern blot of genomic DNA extracted from adult mouse cardiac muscle system cellsSample 2: Northern blot of mRNA extracted from adult mouse nervous system cellsSample 3: Northern blot of mRNA extracted from adult mouse cardiac muscle cells

Problem, Purpose, and the Question: Evidence-Based-Practice Proposal, assignment help
Think about what you have learned with regard to the five critical
steps of evidence-based practice. In a formal paper of 500-750 words,
address the following:Part 1: Defining the ProblemIdentify and describe one topic that may resolve a patient-care-quality problem or issue.Draft a possible problem statement.Describe a problem. Explain why it is a problem, and why it is
significant to your discipline. Use the literature you gathered as
support for why this is a problem in relation to your practice. The
problem should focus on the resolution of an issue significant to
improving patient care.Draft a purpose statement in relation to your problem statement that
states what you hope to accomplish if you implemented this project.Part 2: Defining a Searchable, Answerable QuestionFrom what you wrote about your problem and purpose, develop
searchable questions using the PICOT format that will be the basis for
your implementation plan. Word count is not relative in this section.
Include evidence-based resources .General Requirements:
Prepare this assignment according to the guidelines found in the APA Style Guide

GEOL 4 Santa Monica College Plate Tectonics Lab 2 Report
Plate Tectonics LabOverviewIn this section of the lab, you will have the opportunity to apply your understanding of plate tectonics to real places on Earth’s surface, connecting what you can see on the surface (e.g. mid-ocean ridges, oceanic trenches, volcanoes, etc.) with the interpretation of these features according to the Theory of Plate Tectonics. Instructions: Use a computer, laptop, or tablet with a large screen. I do not recommend using a smartphone. Open Google ChromeType in the following URL: https://earth.google.com/web/Find the Voyager Icon in the upper left-hand corner and click on it (as shown below)Click on “LAYERS” (as shown below)Scroll down and click on “10,000 Years of Volcanoes” to “turn on” the locations of volcanoes that have been active over the last 10,000 years. Note: they will appear as red teardrop-shaped symbols. The image of Earth that you see allows you to see the topography (shape of the land) and the bathymetry (shape of the ocean floor) so that you may identify the major features on Earth’s surface (i.e. mid-ocean ridges, oceanic trenches, etc.). Each question in this lab will guide you to a general location on Earth’s surface using a specific location. NOTE: the location that you type into the search bar is only meant to direct you to a GENERAL region. You will have to ZOOM OUT/ZOOM IN to see the features visible in that general area.Look for the major features that you learned about in the Plate Tectonics Chapter to help you determine what type of plate boundary exists in that region.Remember, that these features are explained by Plate Tectonics. For example, you can’t see a Divergent Boundary on oceanic lithosphere, but you can see a mid-ocean ridge, which the Theory of Plate Tectonics interprets as a Divergent Boundary on Oceanic Lithosphere. You will also have to return to the Voyager Icon and follow the process outlined above to turn on the volcano layer after you have found your desired location to determine if there is recent (i.e. in the last 10,000 years) volcanic activity associated with that feature, and therefore, plate boundary.Answer the following questions. Check the following pdf.doc for the entire document/question.
