List the major steps in being nominated for public office in the U.S. (you may choose to discuss the process for a presidential or congressional candidate), including who is eligible, how the candidates are selected, how the candidates get their message to the people, how the primary system works, and what role the electoral college plays.

3.  How does a bill become law? Please explain where bills originate and how they go through the process. Also include information about the role of interest groups and political parties in bill formation
