Abstract
This paper explains three resources that provide a report about the policy of Affordable Care law.
The sources, nevertheless, differ in the views on the law about how government branches are
involved in the creation of the policy, the role the public and political-based groups and expected
effects on various aspects. According to Collins et al. (2014), the health care Act was created to
benefit Americans who are low-income earners so that there is a rise in those people who access
healthcare. In AS Public Affairs's article, the roles of government branch in the enactment of the
law are summarized. It points out that Judiciary is the branch that provides a final verdict in the
promulgation of law through a court ruling. It also highlights how Affordable Care Law improves
efficiency and quality of health care. In Nordqvist's ( 2016) article, the benefit of the law as
increasing the coverage of those people accessing health. Small business employers would also
benefit from the law through a tax credit.

Several researches have been conducted on the analysis of the Affordable Care Act about
what it implies, how it was created, roles of different parties and their effect on its development
and the influence on various business aspects and other programs. In Collins et al.'s 2014 survey
report indicates that there is an increase in affordability and coverage of healthcare since the law
was legislated. It highlights Medical Debt, Access to Care and Coverage as three main areas that
the law has reduced costs while developing healthcare. The number of people who were unable to
access medical care due to financial problems was now able to pay medical bills, and the
population had decreased from 80 million in 2012 to 66 million in 2014 Collins et al. (2014). The
information from this source is reliable since it provides information that is based a recent survey
done by a non-governmental organization with an experience in survey worldwide. The source is
subjective since it majorly outlines the benefits the low and middle income earning Americans
gained from the Act. I intend to use this source when analyzing the effects of the Act on cost,
access, and quality of health care. When discussing efficiency and equity concepts and the role
they play in the Act, the information the report has will be useful.

and quality of health care were improved (AS Public Affairs, 2015). The information in this article
or reliable because it was compiled by a government employee in the Office of Public Affairs. The
source is subjective since it highlights the positive side of the law. I plan to use this source when
analyzing how government branches were involved in developing the law and the role of political
groups and public on development of the Act.
