The government and not- for-profit accounting is based only on their activities. In contrast, for-profit accounting is based on their quarterly income. As far as taxation is concerned, government and non-profit accounting does not include any taxes entries because these organizations are tax-exempt, However, for-profit company accounting show tax entries because they have to pay taxes.
