1. Assuming the line equation is y=mx+b

Input (5,3) into the equation, 3=5m+b         (1)

Input (2,5) into the equation, 5=2m+b         (2)

(1)-(2):        -2=3m,       m=-2/3

So for (1),      3=5*(-2/3)+b,       3+5*(2/3)=b, b=9/3+10/3=19/3

So the equation is y=-2/3x+19/3

2. The rate of change=(35ft-5ft)/2s=30 ft/2 s=15 ft/s

3.Since for the two points given have the same y value, the line through them is parallel to x axis.

Therefore the equation of the the line is y=6
