The primary motivating factors that led to Spanish Colonization of South America were trade
and the spread of the Catholic faith. The Spanish empire was the most powerful and largest
European empire and it used the wealth of the Americas to financially support the persistent
warfare which was occurring in Europe. The Spanish empire controlled and protected the
Americas with a very large and powerful navy and army with the main aim of bringing
Catholicism to the Americans. The growth of a racially mixed society eventually led to conflicts
between Spain and its American colonies. This led to the struggle for independence by the
Americans. Spain, therefore, plays a very significant role in the analysis of the history of the
United States (Tindall, Brown and David, 2016).
In the year 1848, the women’s rights movement formalized its position by publishing the
‘declaration of sentiments’ which was a document with a list of a series of economic, political
and social complaints .the document pointed out that women were not allowed to own property
and were not allowed to earn more money than men. This, therefore, brought about gender
inequality which affected women negatively and acted in favor of men. This thus led to the
concern of women to fight for their rights. This led to the formation of organizations like the
national woman suffrage association (NWSA) and the American women suffrage association
(AWSA) which acted to promote women rights.
The single most important factor leading to the American victory in the Revolutionary War was
the French Involvement because, Without France’s military power, the Americans would never
have had the capacity of defeating the superior British army because they lacked resources and
manpower.it was after the Battle of Saratoga when French offered their aid in helping America
secure its independence. George Washington was the French army general captain and his
understanding of war requirements led to his victory. I personally think that this was the key

contributing factor towards the American victory because for a nation to win any war, it must be
well equipped with weapons and manpower which was a problem to the Americans but French
offered their help which led to the win (Main and Turner, 2015).
New England and the Chesapeake Bay were the two groups which showed that life was hard for
some groups but healthy and happy to other groups. The most important reason why settlers in
the New England colonies had a greater life expectancy than those colonials who lived south of
the Chesapeake Bay was that the New Englanders enjoyed a much higher standard of living. This
high standard of the New England's was due to many factors which included; a healthier
environment, better family situation, and a high rate of reproduction hence they had a higher life
expectancy as compared to those at the Chesapeake Bay. The New Englander’s could expect ten
extra years of life because they lived to be nearly 70 years old which is close to the same life
expectancy as today.
The Second Amendment of the Constitution clearly states: “A well-regulated militia being
necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be
infringed.” The Bill of Righ...
