Why Religion Is Natural
INTRODUCTION
Religion is belief in existence of a supreme being (Bloom & Paul). This will vary from one
community to another because most countries provide freedom of worship. However, at a
universal level the supreme being is God. Christian and Muslims cover a better ground in the
whole world and believe in God. Although God Has many other names, the meaning still
remains the same. The Bible, claimed to be the holy book refers to Him as Yahweh who is
the true God. The traditional framework has also its own view on religion. The Greeks have
Medusa who is proclaimed as the goddess. Many of us may not understand and can only
explain it in a story.
Churches cannot miss out when talking about religion. The first church was built in Antioch
according to the Bible. Besides, the bible differs about a church being a building where
people go to worship but a group of worshippers. As much that exist in our souls that idea of
a building still rules the day. To what we may have seen or experience is the first church
being built at Vatican City in Rome, Italy. It was built for Catholics. It made Catholic to be
among the biggest ministries in the world being influential up to Africa. Moreover, with time
some people started to dispute the Catholic hood and decided to come up with other
structures of worship. They were hence referred to as protestants. Up to now we have more
than ten protestant churches.
It is open religion covers the biggest part of our social life. It is instrumental to both
education and marriage which are also up to count. Politics which now rules the world also
pays allegiance to religion. That is why political leaders swear to the bible that they will
