Part One: Summary
The video observed covers the interaction between Ashely Sellers, a speech-language
pathology assistant (SLPA), and a young male student with a speech impediment. The student is

Ashely leverages several teaching strategies in communicating with their student. She
primarily uses visualization and object matching to capture the child’s attention and pass on
essential concepts. Instead of using technological devices such as laptops and projectors, she
uses toys with exciting sounds and features that mimic real-world objects to encourage object
identification and association.
