1. Define a project;
A project is an estimate, plan, or prediction of a task or work defined as controlled and
executed by its achievement, success, or goals towards a particular purpose or a specific outcome
(Mohamed, 2017). It is a temporary idea, plan procedure claimed at developing a new product,
offer services or achieve a specific result.
2. Explanation of the five project process areas.
Project process areas are; Firstly, initiating in this starting phase of the project is its
beginning. The project is publicized to the concerned group, and some considerations are
brought to attention: time, scope, cost scope, and people involved (Poliana, 2013). Secondly, the
planning phase project plan is the main agenda prepared based on other processes linked to it.
Milestones are set here; it is the center of all other project areas. Thirdly, executing the actual
implementation of the project is done with detailed physical work in the completion of the
project. Fourthly, monitoring and controlling this phase controls the implementation stage as it
ensures all other phases and details have been implemented and factored in. Fifthly closing, this
is the phase where every proposition, consideration design is reviewed regarding the finished
product to check whether the project's objective has been met.
