Business Ethics Reflection
Despite running a sole entity, my business is communally based since I rely on human
resources, suppliers, consumers, and business critics to elongate my market presence and
evade human-induced crisis. The above ensures I strictly abide by the ethical code of conduct
and upright business decision-making ethics in crisis situations. Crises do occur in all
business places, but ethical decision-making is a significant analysis. An organization's
ethical code of conduct determines consumer retention and its ability to maintain its vital
resource who are human resources. The decision-making enables me to make decisions that a
consumer-centric and employee-centric to avoid conflict of interest and ensure consideration
of all stakeholders. I create a stringent code of conduct and have a unilateral decision-making
approach. Such modules have spurred crisis evasion and enabled my firm to sustain most
prospects in providing market stability.
Ethical Decision-Making Model
Crisis management and hacking reputations are significant in my company despite it
being challenging. The aim for crisis–evasion easily convinces my management to choose
the easiest and the most cost-efficient course of action. There are instances of crisis that
might erupt in the business scope, and the only option is to focus on a standard and best
ethical point intervention plan. Ethical decision-making does not focus on reasonable
possibilities in case of a crisis. At times leaders have to settle on their best decisions through
the PLUS model. The model involves a set of questions designed for my ethical decisionmaking and identification of potential crisis before escalation. The PLUS model is objective
since it shifts my focus on revenues and profits instead urges me to settle on legal and fair
approaches towards a problem.
The PLUS Model in Constituent Planning
P = Policies and Procedures. I ask myself to consider if the decision aligns with
company policies and what steps I should undertake for caution.

L = Legal affairs. Does this decision violate or breach the firm's laws or regulations?
U = Universal opinions. I ask myself how versatile my decision will opt to be. Is the
decision in line with fundamental values? Is it following the company culture? How
does the decision relate to the firm's organizational values?
S = Self and conscience. I tend to ask myself, does the decision meet my standards of
fairness as a leader and honesty as the firm's executive?
I rely on the PLUS model to settle on the following stages in the decision-making. I
consider solutions by using guides on the response I give myself after the PLUS model
analysis. I often experience several unethical issues in my firm that also required ethical
decision-making. An example of an unethical issue was when a worker reported his coworker for giving his sister a significant discount on my firm's product. The above needed
some sober mind and avoiding irrational decisions. I had to consider the reality that family
comes first. However, discounts should be fair, and customers should not receive discounts
by simply viewing how close the customers are to us. That is unethical and unprofessional to
consider such options at the workplace. To evade a crisis, I would either mention to the
worker of the crisis or caution the worker. The other option is to terminate the worker as an
example to others. I had such a hard time, but because my organization is employee-centric, I
mentioned to the worker and deducted their payslip as a repercussion.
Ethical Decision-Making Process
Crisis evasion requires an emotional quotient (EQ) among leaders. Organizational
leaders need to consider all the options in the crisis management schedule before settling on
any decision about the crisis in my organization. The initial step is to define the potential
crisis and estimate the repercussion of the crisis to the market. If the ethical crisis is
manageable, the best scheme is to address the crisis and the solution. However, in adverse
cases, I focus on seeking resources like outsourcing ethical professionals to handle the
