Kohlberg biography
Lawrence Kohlberg developed Kohlberg's theory of moral thinking. Born in Bronxville,
and raised in New York, Kohlberg went to Andover Academy located in Massachusetts for his
high school studies. The school is specially attended by the wealthy and apparently for
Kohlberg's case his records points to a topping off the class and linking the two to a bright kid.
The theorist proceeded to college after working on an Israeli mission and subsequently as an
engineer in the refugee freight. Later on, Lawrence Kohlberg reported to the University of
Chicago where he only took one year since the tests admitted to Kohlberg on admission were
well passed prompting examiners to allow for the quick pass of college studies (Crain, 1985).
Motivated by Piaget, a well-known author on matters to deal with psychology, Lawrence
Kohlberg abandoned his career path and consequently instead of becoming a clinical
psychologist, opted to study the behavioral attributes of a given people.
