INTITAL STAGE
1. What were some of the expectations of the group members?
Some of the group members expected to be liked by other team members. Another expected
some team members to have the roles of their family members because they are attached to them.
Other members anticipated that they would be judged by other members of the group. Others
expected that they would be able to express themselves as eloquently as they would love to.
2. Did all the members feel a sense of inclusion in the group?
Not everyone felt included in the group because one of the team members had been away f rom
school for a while. The same member believes that they felt halfway included in the group with
the same individual feeling like an outsider to the group. Another member felt like an outsider
and had problems trusting other people, especially the ladies. Some members felt different from
other members of the group and felt like outsiders. One other member of the group felt too young
and not a part of the group.
3. What concern did the members voice?
They had the anxiety of being seen by many people. They also had issues with trusting other
members of the group. They were looking out of signs of other group members to like them.
They were scared with interrupting the group process because of consciousness of what other
members would say. Some said they would feel vulnerable because of their famil...
