Description

This is an outline that was taught to me by a student and it worked out so well that it has become part of the class. I'd like to see you accomplish this assignment in Powerpoint using six slides, but you can also do this on a word processor and just present it as six pages. I will refer to each page as a slide from now on.

The requirements for this outline are below:

The outline should be based on one of the two topics assigned for your argument paper.

The outline should contain six slides. Each slide has specific instructions.

The slides should contain only complete sentences.

Each body paragraph slide should contain at least two sources (remember that your body paragraphs will eventually contain three sources when you turn in the paper).

Format:

Slide one

Introduction

Title of Paper

An introductory stat

An introductory quote

An introductory anecdote

(yes you need to find all three - we will comment on which one is most effective)

A thesis statement for your paper.

Support 1 with a sentence after to analyze

Support 2 with a sentence after to analyze

Support 2 with a sentence after to analyze

Slide 4

Find a counter argument for BP2 then write two sentences to refute

Find a counter argument for BP3 then write two sentences to refute

Slide Six

Conclusion

Re-state your thesis.

Write a five-line poem about the topic of your paper. This should connect your topic to something more universal and emotional (poems usually do, YOU WILL NOT BE INCLUDING THE POEM IN YOUR FINAL DRAFT THIS IS AN EXERCISE TO GET YOU TO MAKE MORE EMOTIONAL CONNECTIONS IN THE CONCLUSION)

Stopping Bullying in Regards to Internet and Mobile Connections
90% of teenagers agree that bullying through the internet and mobile communications is
problem, while 63% of them believe that it is a serious problem.
“You can only realize how strong or weak you are after facing a challenge; yet, cyberbullying
often leaves victims weaker and miserable.”
Joining Facebook got me excited on how easy and fun it is connecting to people across the globe,
only for hungry, malicious scammers to slow rub it in my face that that was their space and that I
needed to know my place.
Although several measures are in place to try stop bulling through the internet and mobile
connections, the vice is still rampant and ever-increasing, hence there is a dire need for further
actions that will help to mitigate the problem and save millions of victims from its dire
consequences.
