1. Is the equation -1/2x + y = 0 in direct variation?

Find the missing value if the points are on the graph of direct variation.

1. y= 1/2 x, so it is direct variation. 

2. y = kx, plug in x=2.5 ,y =5 , we have k =2, so y=2x,  then plug in y =9, we have 9 = 2x, and divided both sides by 2, then x = 4.5.
