Answers to questions:
3. What Photoshop techniques (e.g. layers, blending, etc) did you use to create your composition
(describe what you did to complete the assignment)?
For this image editing assignment, I wanted to create a composite image of me and a historical
figure that I consider noteworthy. After reflecting on who to select for this “Rewrite History” assignment,
I finally chose Muhammad Ali. I looked for a historical photo of him that I think would be fun editing my
existing photo. Upon browsing images of Muhammad Ali on Google, I found an article published by The
Guardian about him which contained a picture of him. In particular, this historical photo was dated “27th
May 1963” and showed the famous American boxer lying on a hotel bed in London and holding up five

defeat or “knock out” his British opponent Henry Cooper (Hauser, 2016). I downloaded the said image of
Muhammad Ali and saved the URL of the article to my Microsoft Word .docx file so I can properly cite it.
After I saved the photo of the historical event that I wanted, I looked for an existing photo that I
already had. I wanted the photo that I will be using to resemble Ali’s fighting background for a little bit, so
I chose to use the photo of me wearing a cosplay attire of a warrior wielding a weapon. I saved the said
photo. Then, I proceeded to think of how I’ll seamlessl...
