The Range is the set of y-values that are allowed.  The vertex is the bottom of the parabola and is the lower end of the range.  Therefore, the range is: [-4, infinity).  The -4 is inclusive (note the closed parenthesis on the left).


The x-intercepts are the points at which the parabola crosses the x-axis.  Yes, there are x-intercepts.  There are two of them.  They occur at x = -3 and x = 1.


The y-intercept is the point at which the parabola crosses the y-axis.  This occurs at the point (0,-3).  Therefore, y = -3.


The axis of symmetry is x = -1.
