(Client, an African American lady of 24 years old, arrived comfortably on a planned therapy
session. She wore a uniform security type, as she seemed to come directly from work. She
seemed a little older than her declared age. Her body language showed that she was
apprehensive, uncertain, and perturbed. She kept her arms crossed, and her body tilted to the
entrance. Her questions in the first place were brief and needed to be inspired, but as the
session went, she spoke more about what she wanted to say.
Throughout the interview, the counselor maintains close eye contact with the client and
appears calm throughout the session.
The session is conducted in the counselor's office, a private building with nearly no noise
from the surrounding. In the office are two comfortable seats facing each other and a table
between them. On the table are two glasses of drinking water, one for the client and the other
for the counselor)

COUNSELLOR:

How are you doing today?

I’m Alright
