I am Carl Jung. I am known for my considerable contribution to analytical
psychology. Like Sigmund Freud, I believe that the human psyche is made up of
three compounds the Ego, the Personal unconscious and the Collective
unconscious. I differ from Sigmund Freud because I have rejected his theory of
the Oedipus and Electra complex in the psychosexual stages of development.
Unlike Freud, I believe that the bond between a parent and a child is based on
love, caring and security. I don�t believe that young boys have strong sexual
urges for their mother and savage resentment for their fathers as theorized by
Sigmund Freud; or that young girls desire their fathers sexually and wish to
remove their mothers.
I think that my longtime friend Sigmund Freud is preoccupied with sex and his
concentration of sexuality is overwhelming. Like Freud I believe that the
analysis of dreams could give some insight to the unconscious but I don�t share
his views that dreams are sexual desires that have been suppressed. I believe
that dreams are symbolic imagery that carry a variety of meaning both in the
past and for the future

Answer: I believe that religion is a necessary part of the human experience. I
don�t belong to any particular religious group but I explore different
religions. I am very interested in Para Psychology, eastern religions,
symbolisms that are connected to traditions such as Alchemy, Kabala, Buddhism
and Hinduism.
