Communicate Effectively
Communication is an integral part of socialization. It can open more opportunities
because of the fewer barriers built, which helps build and strengthen relationships with other
people. Effective communication is an important component of my studies. However, communication alone is not sufficient; a keen understanding is also significant– without understanding,
mere communication is useless. Effective communication can formulate what is needed to be uttered or said; it also involves what not to say. Effective communication emphasizes essential
points, which I think being direct is relatively more useful. The other party will already know
what I want to know or achieve. Effective communication is also driven by proper timing and
approach, considering that, at some point, some words or phrases may be inappropriate and unnecessary; hence, it is better to think twice before writing or talking out your thoughts. Effective
communication makes someone's life easier; considering that your thoughts were effectively
conveyed, there will be less confusion and fewer assumptions. It establishes a sense of confidence, as, in times of pressing situations, you already know the words, which may mitigate and
control challenging conflicts.
I'm very much aware that I have a lot to improve with my communication skills; effective communication and communicating using a non-native language may be challenging. Likewise, I have to approach more, and if there are questions that are needed to be asked, I do know
that taking the initiative to ask is necessary at this point; however, there will be times that I'm unable to communicate what I meant fully, or I don't know the right words...
