The fact that teamwork is a more accepted concept in Japan than in the US and Canada
all boils down to their cultural differences. There is a saying in Japan that goes, “the nail that
sticks out gets hammered down.” This stresses the general belief in homogeneity in the Japanese
culture as well as the significance of the group. In Canada and the United States, it is common to
