There is a need to understand that advertising will be part of the everyday life that human

beings continue to exist. There have been controversies on the effect of advertising on children,
on their psychological development and even their social inclinations. There need to be some
remedying actions, but it should also be noted that children have to live with the advertisements
for their whole lives. The children have to be helped to interpret the advertisements while parents
can also do more than help in the socialization process. The implication is that advertisements
are affected by demographics, which are not exclusive to the children. While there have been
numerous studies on this concept, perhaps there is a need to have a paradigm shift on how
parents help their children understand the inclination of all adverts. The research question is how

that people have to be aware of the repercussions that advertising is bound to bring. It goes
further because the brands will continue to rely on the media for their sales. It is a symbiotic
