In this article, Tatum differentiates the definitions of race and prejudice. In regards to
prejudice, Tatum explains that this word is defined by uninformed opinions or perceptions
about certain groups of individuals. Tatum elaborates that prejudice is a result racism that is
embedded within a culture by way of subliminal meanings can be found in a variety of things
including photos and messages. According to Tatum, the messages that are displayed in these
