Description
This Discussion guides you on your initial investigation of each systemic part, or discipline, through the application of the PEEEL framework: Politics, Epidemiology, Economics, Ethics, and Law.
To prepare for this Discussion, review this week’s Learning Resources to further examine the multidisciplinary nature of public health. Then, select one professional experience you have had with policy or advocacy and consider how you approached the experience by applying two of the PEEEL disciplines. Refer to the PEEEL Executive Summary, as needed, as you apply the PEEEL framework.
By Day 4, post a brief description of your policy- or advocacy-related experience and explain how you applied two of the PEEEL disciplines during your approach. Then, describe what you learned about each discipline from this experience and explain how you might apply this knowledge when addressing similar situations involving policy or advocacy. Support your post with the Learning Resources and peer-reviewed sources found through your own research.
