  • Discuss the benefit of effective project closure using examples to support your answer.
  • Recommend two (2) best practices concerning project closure that would apply to almost any project.

project management is the process of applying the skills, insight, techniques, as well as tools toa
project tasks to meet the requirements of a named project. Therefore, project performance is a
pivotal part of a program management, since it enables the project coordinator to schedule
problems and identify program costs; hence, taking remedial actions. In addition, project
performance provides the company with a clear picture of the health status of its project, which
in turn instills confidence to the manager as well as the project team. Correspondingly, according
to Kerzner (2013), project closure is the last stage of a project management process, which upon
the end of project execution stage, the manager does the initial acceptance of the project
outcomes, achievement, formal signing off from the customer, and does the final analysis of the
project scope. Besides, the project custodian releases the project resources, indexes the project
files, as well as documenting the lessons learned from the project for future reference. Indeed,
