Question Description

i drove about 60 miles today and stopped the car to go in to a place, came back out and car would not start. I did not leave any lights on. I got a jump, car started right up, and drove back home 60 miles. Got home turned off the car and again the car won't start. do you think it is that i need a new battery or alternator?

It is definitely a battery problem, BUT if you have a pre 1980 car with voltage regulator which is not built-in in the alternator, then it is a voltage regulator problem.
