Coolant Resevoir Tank

Question Description

I’m stuck on a question and need an explanation.

Should the coolant reservoir tank be full in my 2010 Suzuki Kazashi?

Just had the oil changed 2 months ago and the dealer performed a 30-point courtesy check, said said nothing about that...?

Final Answer

If you look at the coolant reservoir there should minimum and maximum mark or scale on it. Normally, when the car is cold coolant level in the reservoir is at the minimum level. The remaining space is allotted for the coolant expansion just in case the car get a little hotter than usual operating temperature.

If the car is new, I would not worry much about it just like what the dealer did..

good luck
