Question Description

My civic just got a new rotor and cap, spark plugs, and fuel pump.  Still having the same problem tho! I will be driving and it will randomly stop working.  Still on and running but will give it no gas.  When I shut it off it will turn over but will not start for 5-10 min.  Will randomly do it in little spurts as well but happen so quickly it will not come to a complete stop.

Hi,

Check on your fuel filter and mass air flow sensor. If not ignition coil should be check if it is overheating. The best way in finding if ignition coil is overheating, when the car does this problem, turn off the ignition and then pop the hood open, immediately touch the ignition coil. If the ignition coil is super hot ( meaning you can't keep your finger on it for more than 15 seconds), then you have a bad ignition coil.

good luck and be careful..
