Throughout this course, you will be developing what is known as a strategic management action plan (MAP). When all the strategic planning is done and the written strategic plan document exists, then it is time for management action planning based upon our strategies. This is where so many health care organizations of all types fall short. The same level of effort that went into creating the strategic plan needs to continue as we take action, measure progress, and reassess over time. Management action planning is a step-by-step approach developed to help health care leaders plan the action steps that will lead to positive change for our organizations. The strategic plan sets the direction for us, and our MAPs get the work done, turning strategy into reality. Developing a MAP is a six-step process, and you will actually be practicing this MAP process as you create your course project. Some suggested MAP topics are provided here, and you are certainly free to propose your own topic if you like, perhaps something which truly needs to be addressed in your own organization. You may even find the MAP to be a valuable tool as you lead your own organization. By the time you reach Unit II, you should have determined your topic. In Units II through VII, you will learn about each step of the six-step process. It is suggest that you work on each part of your MAP during the week it is discussed to ensure that you complete your project on time. The completed project is due at the end of Unit VII and should be in one of the following formats: .doc, .docx, .rtf, .pdf, or .txt. The project should consist of a minimum of five double-spaced pages and should be in APA format. Remember to cite any outside sources used to avoid plagiarism. Introduction

A strategic management plan is essential to a health care institution to establish an
organized vision, define values, determined objectives and chart a direction for development in
the future and improved health services. The planning process starts with a statement of the
company goals, vision and SWOT analysis of the present organization's strengths,
vulnerabilities, opportunities that can be exploited and potential threats. Based on these things, a
healthcare organization can formulate, implement and oversee a strategy. This essay introduces
healthcare technology as one of the strategic management action plans for a healthcare
organization.

Healthcare facilities may implement technologies like cloud computing to better
comprehend the needs of patients via listening to patients requests and sharing knowledge with
the assistance of the cloud at any particular time. This article discusses a guideline that contains
the most important security process in healthcare facilities regarding cloud computing. It
recognizes that cloud computing is the fastest growing technology and area of research in
management information systems. The following is a six-step procedure for MAP;
1.

Problem and opportunity for improvement (OFI)
Currently, not many healthcare facilities use the cloud. This does not mean that the

healthcare organization does not need a cloud. The will be very useful for the healthcare
organization. First, a cloud solution will offer sharing of resources and space in the cloud, but the

non-cloud solution will not offer any sharing. Thus, the non-cloud solution will be associated
with challenges like lack of integration and automation in the type of work that is repetitive. This
will lead to huge consumption of resources and time in managing the system like disk
management, memory management, processor allocation and patch control. The mentioned
activities take up lots of analyst resources and time ("What is cloud computing? - Definition
from WhatIs.com", 2017). Consequently, it minimizes personnel performance in the information
technology department while doing major and complicated tasks. The cloud computing will offer
an enormous opportunity in the provision of electronic healthcare services in a different situation
in an effective and simple way.
