psychologist who was born in the state of Pennsylvania on March 20, 1904. In
August of 1990, B.F. Skinner died at the age of eighty-four years (Skinner,
2019). His study area as a behavioral psychologist was human behavior, where
his manner of thinking was unique and counter-cultural at the time. He felt that

something wrong, we can use negative reinforcement to help them to stop
doing it. These approaches can be used to teach children and prisoners that
have been detained. In operant behavior, a link is made through behavior and
the consequences of the behavior
2. In the previous example, I included animals as an example because Skinner
utilized the "Skinner Box" to research animals. In this experiment, he utilized
rats to demonstrate how positive and negative reinforcement can promote or
prohibit behavior depending on our goals. When the rat moved in a direction,
he did not want it to go; he would shock it. Even with its small brain, the rat
