The x-intercept of the line whose equation is 2x - 3y = 6 is?

The x intercept is where the line crosses the x axis. Look at a graph, you can cross the x axis only if y = 0. So

2x - 3y = 6

2x - 3(0) = 6

2x = 6

x = 6/2 = 3
