Project management includes launching, planning, administering, controlling, and closing
the work of a team to achieve specific goals and meet specific success criteria. A project is a
temporary endeavor with a defined beginning and end designed to produce a unique product or
service. Project management is affected by human resource factors. The paper describes the
human resource factors that affect project management and further discusses the different
organizational structures that relate to project management.
Human resource factors that affect project management
1. Leadership management
Leadership refers to the ability of an individuals or organization to lead or guide other
individuals, teams or entire organizations. Project management involves the engagement of
different human expertise that best works with the help of team leaders. Leadership management
in project management is essential. Leadership management means learning from successes and
failures on past projects. It entails encouraging project teams and professionals to reflect on their
