Introduction
Military organization involves well-structured formalized roles. Military contains people
who work together to ensure a common goal in special areas. There is various implemented
organization structure in the military. The military uses a well-defined chain of command to
divide responsibilities into daily activities. Air forces, navies, and armies are hierarchical, from
smaller units commanded by low-ranking officers to bigger units managed by the commander. A
sergeant leads the smaller unit in an army called the squad and contains close to 14 soldiers
(Segal, 2019). The largest unit consists of close to 40 soldiers, and their commander is known as
the lieutenant. Leadership and respect come in hand in any military unit. There is an emphasis on
command in the military environment and task allocation in various dimensions. Management in
the military unit plays an important role to ensure that the soldiers stay on track to their mission.
In the military, command, leadership and management form the efficient organizational
structure. The success of the military depends on how much the soldiers are willing to respect
their command and the management involved in their units (Andrzejewsk, 2013). The military
organization is also known as the line organization. It involves a flow of authority vertically and
directly from the top to the middle and finally to the lower management level.
Military Leadership
Military leadership refers to the process of instructing others to accomplish certain
mission procedures by providing them with a target objective, direction, motivation, and a
structured purpose. The command is the legal authority exercised by the person with the highest
rank to their subordinates using their rank to perform a certain task. Good leadership and
interaction among the soldiers lead to a successful military organization. Military leadership is
more concerned with the strategy and style that revolves around direct contact and empathy.

Military leadership should be more charismatic. It is a service to the people, and it is concerned
with protecting other soldiers in the group. Leaders in the Military are concerned with success
and focus on a building by neutralizing activities and command at the base. The main function
of leaders in the military is to ensure that the missions and the tasks are fulfilled successfully.
Some of the military's important skills in the military include integrity, morality, honour,
strength, and good decision-making skills. Good leadership is a result of the power to exercise
the duty to the soldiers. In the battle, soldiers will always depend on their leaders to show them a
way forward. Military leadership is a presidential and congressional election process.
Military management
The military is a controlled institution with the ultimate authority from the president. The
president is the commander-in-chief of the armed forces. Military management involves the art
of controlling and conducting military affairs in the organization. The aim of forming the
military unit is to support the national policies and defend the nation's borders. Military
leadership uses their power to accomplish these political purposes (Segal, 2019). All the
secondary and subsidiary purposes are more related to the primary purpose of the military
organization. Agency theory is one factor that is used in the military organization; the normal
citizens are the ones who set oversight rules to discover and monitor military behaviour and their
response based on the behaviour they discover. Agency theory outlines how leaders make
policies and decisions that govern and control their units. Hierarchical management of a unit will
help reduce conflicts cases in the unit as it controls the operations of the principles.
Communication and information in military leadership occur without any public initiation and
oversight. Occasionally, the president makes the decision that controls different principles in the
military unit. The military constitutes the largest budget in the world. The cost increases over

time due to the appropriation in training, manning, and equipping the forces. There are five
categories of military institutions in America. They include the Air force, Marine Corps, Coast
Guards, the Army, and the Navy. Within the military services, two distinct components guide the
service of the men.
