First, healthcare expenses have been on the higher end. According to Amadeo and
Estevez (2020), by 2011, the mean cost for a nuclear family with two children doubled by 7.3%,
double what it was a decade ago. Second, if healthcare is reformed, it guarantees the improved
quality of healthcare. Among the developed countries, America has the worst healthcare system.
The cost stands at 1.7 trillion dollars per year which can be lowered through wellness and
prevention programs (Amadeo and Estevez, 2020).
Besides, there are Americans without insurance plans. Almost 45,000 individuals die
because they have no covers (Amadeo and Estevez, 2020). Furthermore, reforms are needed to
cut and identify fraud. Amadeo and Estevez (2020) state that 3-10% of funds are lost through
fraud each year.
