In any organization, data is a very important asset. It is, therefore, very crucial to have a
plan to be used for backing up data or information. Data backup occurs as a result of making
copies of files or archiving them in a way that they can be accessed in the future, or they can be
restored in the event that the data is lost. The loss of data may result from various causes such as
viruses or the hardware failing, and it can also occur as a result of a theft of, for instance, the
computers systems and the storage devices such as hard disks (Susan and Cunningham, 2013).
