Every business aims at maintaining its privacy and intellectual property rights. When
engaging in different activities, businesses strive to ensure that the right peoples are handling
matters related to their privacy. Protection of intellectual property is also of value as it enables
companies to build on what belongs to them thus adding value to its performance. The use of
technology in most organizations is aimed at ensuring that both privacy and property rights are
retained within an organization.
According to the case study, the current method of storing information is not secure.
There is the need to have a software system that will enable the library secure its information
related to who has checked out what. The software however, should have the ability to ensure
that only the library personnel have access into it. The library personnel have no skills on
operating the computers systems with the software that ensures the security of information (In
