Differentiation strategy is a method or mode of marketing that a company uses to
distinguish its products from those offered by the competitors in the market. Differentiation
mainly aims at winning competitive advantage for a business; therefore, a company’s products
must be a notch higher as compared to the competitors. In order to achieve differentiation, a
company must consider the price charged by the competitors in the market( Hill and Jones,
2012). In addition, a business needs to consider the quality of the competing products and give
its product an added positive aspect that the rest do not have.
