More specifically, we take your work on the previous project and build out a presentation to management. Business presentations are something that I build out (and/or present) weekly in my job. I am in a customer-facing role, and all of my presentations need to hit the nail on the head. As I've said before, remember your audience and keep things professional. In my case, I'm playing the part of "management." Assume that I have a general background in the situation; however, I may not know the specifics. It's your job to help me make the decision. Provide to me what I need to do my job. By the way, this exercise is very much like the "real world." You make decisions that inform me; your information helps me make informed decisions. Key Notes 1. Slides = Simple (usually with bullet points--NOT JUST VISUALIZATIONS) 2. Notes = Detail (usually with citations) 3. Do not forget your citations and the use of APA Style for both your references page as well as your intext citations. 4. Do not forget to turn in slides with speaker notes. *see note below 5. Speaker notes and slides should align (and vice versa). 6. Your slides should include graphics, charts, images, etc., but ONLY if they support your presentation. Things like "word art" or generic graphics should not be used unless they enhance the presentation. 7. Slides are there to present bullets, summaries, charts, graphics, etc. Notes are there to present the detail. DO NOT CONFUSE THE TWO. 8. As with your previous assignment work, your text provides the setup for your work. Use it to help build out your presentation. * Speaker notes may be turned in as a separate document, or you may print your presentation with speaker notes in PDF format (see Print your PowerPoint slides, handouts, or notes - Office Support (microsoft.com)). DO NOT JUST TURN IN A PPT/PPTX FILE. If you fail to turn in either the "handout" view or slides + notes, you will FAIL on your first attempt. As always, reach out with any questions.
