A summary follows at the end of that illustrative analysis. Study this sample case and application of the template (and summary commentary) carefully.

At the bottom of p. 300, you are presented with a new case for study and discussion.

Virtues are personal qualities or character traits that are developed through habitual actions. They
help us become of good characters and lead a good life. Virtue ethics lead us to ask ourselves
what kind of people we should become. Virtues include natural and acquired traits, for example,
honesty, intelligence, respect for other people, generosity, loyalty and self-control. Virtue ethics
is important in criminal justice system because character is prudent in law enforcement and
avoiding corruption and abuse of authority. As a prosecutor, virtues like equality, fairness,
respect of office, honesty, respect for the law, confidence, integrity, respect of other people’s
rights, just and proportionate punishment as deserved are of essence.
