Health care reforms are not a new thing in the United States and have since been there from the
time the United States government was enacted, (Auerbach, J. 2015). It has always been there
but has been being handled differently by different regimes. Some of the proposal by experts on
medical reforms includes.
Patient Bill of Rights
The healthcare reforms experts were first of all concern about the patient say as far as their
health is concerned. The reforms suggested that the patient had the right to be informed about
their condition and be involved in all the processes of curing them, (Auerbach, J. 2015). The
doctor or the health care practitioner is supposed to give the patient their history of what might
have caused the condition and how to avoid it becoming worse, what medication they are taking
and suggesting alternatives. If the patient is to undergo surgery what options they have, that is if
they don’t undergo the procedure what are the consequences they are likely to suffer. The patient
bill of right gives the patient power to question the kind of health care they are been given. The
