Other seemingly intractable conflicts, such as those in Northern Ireland or apartheid in South Africa, were resolved. Israelis-Palestine’s Conflict
The conflict between Israelis and Palestine has lasted long without a clear resolution
between the two groups. The conflict dates back to around the late 19th century to the early 20th
century. The major cause for this unending conflict is the territorial disputes such as the
occupation of the Gaza strip and the West Bank by the Israelis, areas perceived by the
Palestinians to be theirs. The conflict has begun with the declaration such as the 1897 First
Zionist Congress in Palestine. Earlier attempts made to resolve the conflicts by the United
Nations in 1947 escalated the conflict between the Arabs and the Israeli (Lynn, 134). Earlier
attempts such as the Oslo Accords of 1993-1995 that sought to reach a peace agreement failed.
Several issues have contributed to the stalemate of the conflict between the Israelis and
the Palestinians. This essay seeks to analyze the reasons that have made it difficult to resolve the
conflict between the two conflicting groups. This essay will look at similar disputes resolved in
the past and compare them with the conflict on a study to establish what was difficult to solve.
The other part will then discuss the possible factors that have hindered the achievement of
conflict resolution.

Francis).
These laws saw the escalation of the war in South Africa as there was unending conflict
as different races sought to outdo the others. This war took the intervention of several bodies to
end this war which saw the loss of lives of several citizens. The country's economy was also at
its lowest as no viable activities took place during this time. The significant factors that
contributed to the end of this conflict were; pressure from the western countries and other
external bodies such as United Nations and several protests in the country.
It took the intervention of the newly elected president of then, F. W de Klerk, to end this
conflict. When he was elected to office, the president was determined to finish this rule by
