What OS? If it's XP you may have to install drivers for the drive controller before it sees the hard drives (hint: press F6 when prompted). If it's 7 or Vista then click 'load driver' which has the same effect.
Assuming of course that the drive is actually functional and is being seen by the BIOS, but that's another matter. With so little detail it's hard to be sure.
