Hi! Please have a look at the attached answer to this question and get back to me in case of anything. Thank you.

Decision
The year 2015 saw Christine Lagarde of the
International Monetary Fund (IMF), after
consultation with her staff, make a decision to
include Chinese Yuan as a reserve currency
(Mayeda, 2015). Lagarde justified inclusion of the
currency as international reserve saying the progress
of China makes it a potential economy to help curb
relevant issues in the global financial system. The
outcome largely depends on how China positions
itself to oncoming challenges after more countries
accept Chinese currency as a trade currency.
In 2012, Jamie Dimon of J.P. Morgan Chase made a
decision to give a pass to trade investment involving
multiple trades, some of them ultimately leading to a
disastrous outcome; the trades suffered risks that
generated approximately $25 billion in losses at the
investment bank (Irwin, 2013). The fraud involved
overvaluation of investments to hide significant
trade losses (Irwin, 2013). This implies that the
decision deprived stakeholders of accurate and
reliable information for assessing the trades.

In 2014, Mary Barra of General Motors made a
decision to recall its cars for fear that they may have
faulty ignition switches (Basu, 2014). The risk was
that the fault may lead to engine shut off during
driving and prevention of airbags from inflating. As
a new CEO, Barra appeared to have done the right
thing by recalling the cars once she became aware of
the problem. The recall resulted in approximately 30
million cars globally (Basu, 2014).
