Unlike the regular lab exercises, information will be drawn from both the working drawings AND specifications as found attached to the assignment in Canvas /Assignments. Description Utilize the CYA Electric drawing package to conduct a quantity take-off of the CSI divisions noted below. Take-off items are not limited to the components presented in lab or lecture. Deliverables Note: Submit all electronic submissions via Canvas / Assignments. 1) Electronic: PDF format a) 8-1/2” x 11” utilizing the format referenced within this assignment. All estimate documentation must utilize the class standard Takeoff Worksheet found in Canvas / Lab Resources, customized to suit your team and project. b) Your final submission should include the following (in order) i) Cover sheet (Course name, due date, project name, group number, group members) ii) Table of Contents iii) Team assignments & responsibilities (by individual) iv) Take-offs utilizing the class standard Takeoff Worksheet (1) Each section must clearly identify its author. Submission due date Refer to Canvas / Assignments / Semester Project. Working Together - Team Assignments & Project Schedule Tasks will vary by group. Focus on your strengths and interests. For example if the team is proficient in Excel, perhaps everyone submits their take-offs to one person via Excel. If only one person is proficient, perhaps that person receives handwritten take-offs and enters them into Excel for the team. Coordinate tasks with schedules. When can you meet? Coordinate class times, work times, personal obligations, etc. Assign completion times and team members responsible for each task. Develop a schedule with milestones and completion dates and update it as required. Project Updates The construction and design industry is fast paced and dynamic; things change constantly. You may expect revisions (watch for addenda) to the project between now and completion. Participating in lab, lecture and monitoring Canvas is crucial to staying current. Your team is welcome to meet with me on an as-needed basis in lab or during office hours. Questions / PBQ’s You will have questions regarding the drawings, specifications, process, etc. Submit them to me via Canvas / Inbox as a PBQ (Pre-Bid Question). I will assemble the questions and answers together and issue them as PBQ Responses via Canvas / Announcements on an as-needed basis. After a certain period PBQ’s will be no longer accepted; refer to the project schedule. Plan accordingly. Questions must include the following identifiers 1.
