Different insight
In the chosen war film, that is, Full Metal Jackets, young men decide to become
soldiers and fight for their country. When the new recruits are taken to fight in the Vietnam
War, most of them experienced dehumanizing effects. The recruits have moved from brutal
camp training to bloody streets of Vietnam. In “Easter 1916,” the author perceives war in a
negative way. He even questions whether those who take part in war should be seen as
heroes. This makes him not to admire individuals...
