Explanation & Answer

48.

C(x) =  -1 for x < 2

C(x) = 1 for x>=2

a)  Lim C(x) as x->2+ = 1

b)  Lim C(x) as x->2- = -1

c)  Lim C(x) does not exist

d)  C(2) =1

e)  C is not continuous at x=2 since limit at x=2 does not exist

f)  C is continuous at x=1.95

At that time left limit =right limit – function value = -1
