In real life situations, there are various problems which occur in personal lives and at the
organizational level. Such problems can be small or big depending on the extent to which they
are affecting an individual at a personal level or organizational perspectives. A problem is any
situation or matter which is considered as harmful or unwelcome and requires to be dealt with to
overcome it. Depending on how a problem is approached, possible solutions can be achieved
(Kalomitsines, 4). I think any problem has a solution whether big or small.
Problems can be solved provided one follows these steps. Defining the concerns. When
solving a problem one should know what it is really about, and understand that persons will have
differing opinions regarding it. Knowing one’s interests. When a problem arises, everyone
presents his or her own interest. While getting a solution all the interests of people involved
should be understood and dealt with accordingly. The effective solution is likely to satisfy every
individual. There should be active listening with the intention of understanding one another
(Kalomitsines, 13).
