For Population A
Rate of change = (290-0)/(1-0) =290 for year 0 to 1
Rate of change = (250-290)/(2-1) =-40 for year 1 to 2
Rate of change = (200-250)/(3-2) =-50 for year 2 to 3
Rate of change = (500-200)/(1-0) =300 for year 3 to 4

For population B , population grew consistently at a rate of 125 million per year
For population A, growth is not consistent
