Introduction
There are many studies regarding the job enrichment, however the most appropriate
method of enhancing the job is to achieve the performance of employees and personal outcomes.
The employees must be given great opportunities to develop their personal achievements. It is
apparent that the intent is to make the jobs challenging, satisfying and motivation by restructuring
it. (Loher, Noe, Moeller, & Fitzgerarld, 1985)
The relationship between the characteristics of job and the responses of individual about
the work is described by Job Characteristics Theory. This theory was given by Hackman, Lawler
and Oldham which is concern about that how the individual predicts to make progress in their
work by analyzing the task condition. (Faturochman, 1997)
Job Dimensions in Job Characteristics Theory
The theory proposes five job dimensions which also states three psychological states lead
to achieve the personal and work based outcomes. There are variables which caters individual’s
differences aim to study the relationship between the outcomes variables and characteristics. The
focus of the theory is to illustrates the five characteristics of the Job given by Hackman and Oldham
Skill Variety: There must be different varieties of activities for the employees to carry on the work
which involves the different skills and certain abilities of the individual working in an organization.
Task identity: An employee must be aware about the completion of the task by focusing on the
work from its beginning to the end with its outcome that would be achieved.
Task Significance: The importance of the task and its benefits to the specific organization is very
