Hill - Bible 11 Theological Reasoning Paper Description Theological reasoning is the process of using scripture, Christian tradition, and general revelation to address an issue for which there is no clear biblical answer. It combines exegesis1 with one or more additional sources of knowledge (e.g. historical research, contemporary experience, documented best practices, empirical data) to persuade, seeking to shift the trajectory of research and study on the topic (academic) or change individual or communal practice (pastoral). In this paper, you will present a focused, persuasive argument that responds to a question arising from our spring semester units: Gender, Government, Science, or the Arts. Choose a question below or submit one to Mr. Hill for approval by 3/14. Questions 1. Is complementarianism necessarily patriarchy? (Gender) 2. The current United States president has set a reputation for regulating immigration. In
what he describes as efforts to curb terrorism, the president has launched a series of executive
orders detailing the reduction of immigration. His effort to reduce the rate of immigration and
limit the immigration strategies in the country have affected most people adversely. Critics have
opposed his strategy while a few supporters stand by the President and justify his efforts. The
criticism emanates from different quarters, and the Christian community has not been left
behind. The Christians in the country should, however, exercise caution and follow the spiritual

On March 6, 2017, the Trump administration rolled out a second edition of the
controversial immigration orders which suspend immigration from six predominantly Muslim
